In April,
2006, Dr. John Deng, Vimicro's Chairman and CEO, was
awarded "2005 China Top Ten Science and Technology
Persons" as well as the other 10 outstanding
persons for their contributions to the progress of
national science and technology. Sponsored by Science
and Technology Daily and China Aerospace Science and
Industry Corporation, the award demonstrates the recognition
from the science and technology field to Dr. Deng
and Vimicro's contributions to Chinese IC industry.
