China's First Multi-million Gates Chip in Production

Vimicro announced China's first digital imaging chip
Beijing, China, Nov. 8 -- Vimicro Corporation, a leading digital
imaging solution provider, today announced Starlight I, the first
production-ready multi-million gates digital imaging process chip
in China
Starlight I is designed using deep sub-micron and VLSI low power
technologies. It utilizes Vimcro's patented VXP imaging technology
and achieves excellent signal-to-noise ratio(SNR), automated white
balance (AWB), and lossless image compression and restoration. It
has been WHQL certified by Microsoft, and adopted in the latest
imaging product lines from Samsung, Philips, etc
