Vimicro's VXP chip series is ranked among China's top four scientific achievements in 2002 by "People's Daily"

Beijing, China, Feb. 14 - In its annual review on China's scientific development effort, the People's Daily, China's central news authority, ranked Vimicro's VXP imaging chip series among China's top scientific achievements in 2002. The newspaper hailed the great progress China has made during the past year towards establishing its own world-class hi-tech industry and better protecting its own intellectual properties since its joining of WTO. Other achievements mentioned include "Shenzhou" Spacecraft and Rice Gene Decoding, etc.
