VC0361 is Vimicro¨s new low cost small footprint USB 2.0 PC Camera Processor, targeted for attachable PC camera market and notebook embedded camera market. With a programmable sensor master clock output and a parallel sensor interface, VC0361 can support any common CMOS image sensors with resolutions ranging from VGA to 2 Mega pixels. VC0361 has integrated a 10-bit imaging signal processing pipe and a built-in JPEG encode engine to provide high quality video stream. When running at the USB2.0 HS mode, VC0361TLNA can produce uncompressed high quality video stream at 60fps for VGA and is capable of capture still image at up to 2.0Mega pixels resolution. When running at USB 1.1 mode, it can also produce compressed high quality video streams and continue to run 30fps video streams for VGA resolution. VC0361 will be implemented using the mask ROM memory to store its internal firmware. With a special package, this chip can also support DFU function by providing interface for 1 external parallel flash memory chip. VC0361 can also support firmware patch function using external EEPROM and internal code RAM. These features will give designer / engineers the ultimate flexibility when trying to customize their own firmware.
