VC0558 is an innovative mobile camera processor that provides a complete camera solution for mobile phones. With direct interface to CMOS/CCD image sensor and LCD display module, VC0558 can provide high-quality, low-latency video stream to any LCD panels with the desired resolution and color depth. VC0558 can also capture still images and video clips, send them to the mobile phone baseband or receive JPEG image or MJPEG video of any size from the baseband processor and render it on the LCD. VC0558 can perform up to 8x digital zoom during preview, capture and post-view modes. VC0558 also has an integrated graphics engine that includes powerful functions of 2D graphics acceleration, image rotation, as well as special image effects.
