VC0968 is a highly-integrated mixed-signal SoC processor that acts as a complete mobile multimedia “Audio Center” for mobile phones and enables variety on multimedia audio applications. With integration of FAT16/32 file system storage, MP3 decoder, the “audio center” is acting as long data stream MP3 player, mobile ringtone 64-polyphones MIDI player in various formats (SMF, SP-MIDI, VMD-MIDI, I-Melody, PCM or ADPCM). By utilizing “Audio center’s” USB2.0 interface and SD/MMC card memory interface, users can connect and transfer audio data from PC or other devices. To provide for high quality music and 3D virtual sound effects, the “Audio center” has integrated 3D virtual surround engine and stereo speaker, together with the stereo headphone amplifier for both stereo headphone and headset. This “Audio center” has integrated 3 ADCs and a on-chip IMA-ADPCM codec, which can achieving voice recording and playback for various purposes, such as phone-talk voice and conversation recording, mobile answer machine recording, MMS/Voice mail with music background recording, karaoke recoding, mobile phone-talk handfree or headset free applications.
