May 3, 2005 Vimicro's CEO John Deng won top National Awards
During China's Labor Day golden week, , Vimicro's Chairman and CEO, John Deng ,was awarded "National Model Worker" and "Chinese Youth May Fourth Medal" for his outstanding contributions to the China's scientific and technological development.

   
Apr. 2, 2005 Vimicro's multimedia chip technologies won the first prize of National Science and Technology Advancement Award
March 28, 2005, Vimicro's "China Chip Project" was awarded the first prize of National Science and Technology Advancement Award. The ceremony was held at the People's Hall of China and President Hu Jintao granted the award to Dr. John Deng, CEO of Vimicro.

   
Dec. 24, 2004 Vimicro's series multimedia chip products won MII's "Key IT Industry Technology Innovation Award"
On Dec.23, 2004, Ministry of Information Industry announced winners of the key National IT Industry Technology Innovation Award in 2004. Vimicro's series of multimedia chip products were ranked highest amongst the five winners.
